Responsible Care
|
Sasol North America Inc. is committed to improve our health, safety and environmental performances.
As part of this commitment, we are members of the American Chemistry Council and
participate in Responsible Care®. There are 6 codes of management
that Responsible Care® is built around:
- Encouraging Community Awareness and Emergency Response (CAER) through open
communications between our facility and our community. CAER also requires that we develop,
maintain and regularly test emergency response plans.
- Reducing risk by identifying areas where we can improve safety performance.
- Increasing the security and safe handling of our products while in transit.
- Protecting and promoting the safety and health of employees through the prevention of
unsafe activities, effective health and safety communications, and employee wellness
programs.
- Making Responsible Care® part of the design, manufacturing, marketing, distribution,
use, recycling and disposal of our products.
- Preventing pollution by promoting proper waste management practices and by reducing
waste generation and emissions.
Why do we have Responsible Care®?
Because being responsible for the materials we use and the products we make is
just good business.
When is Responsible Care® practiced?
Always.
Responsible Care® is an important guide in our efforts to better serve our
customers, employees and the public. For more information on Responsible Care, visit
the American Chemistry Council website.
